What blood test are required before surgery?
  Before surgery a patient should perform basic blood tests: morfology, INR and APTT. In case of patients over 40 years old, ECG is required.


What medications should not be taken before the procedure?
  At least one week before rugery a patient should not take vitamin E, aspirin and any medications containing aspirin.


What does nose surgery look like?
  Most of nose surgeries are performed in local anesthesia. The surgery takes around 1,5 hours time. After the procecure the nose is covered with stiff plaster, the dressing stays on the nose for about 4 days. Right after the procedure a patient stays at the clinic for around an hour.

What does convalescence after nose surgery look like?  For 24-48 hours a patient should avoid excessive effort, staying in sitting position ar lying down with head up. Cold compresses are recomended, it helps to diminish swelling and bruising after the procedure. A patient should come to the clinic every day for 4-5 days for check-up and change of dressing. Main swelling goes down in a few days, but the final effect can be visible in a few months after the procedure. Return to regular activities is possible after around 1-2 weeks.


Are external incisions required in case of nose surgery?
  Nose surgeries can be performed either with incisions inside nostrils or both inside nostrils and small incisions at the base of the nose. The scar is not visible in most cases. Although most nose surgeries were performed without the extra incision, now more procedures are performed in "open version", which allow to correct the distortiond more precisely.


What is face lift?
  It is procedure that is performed to make the face and neck lookyounger. Desired effect can be achieved with stretching and removing excess of skin and with moving dropping muscles and fat tissue to proper place.

Do deep scars on forehead disappear after face lift? 
No, but the look of forehead in some cases can be improved by forehead lift or brow lift. Improvement can be also acheved by botox injections or series of Exilis procedures.


Are there visible scars after face lift?
 
There are two factors that influence scar appearance. One of them are the surgeon's skills to suture the wound, the second are individual skin properties to scar formation. That is why even despite of perfect suturing, the suturesn have to placed at the visible place. The incisions are placed in the front and behind ears or in hair.


What does breast enlargement surgery look like?
  Breast augmentation surgery take around 1,5 hours and is performed in general (twilight sedation) anesthesia. A patient is asleep during entire procedure and stays at the clinic for one night after the surgery. In most cases the incision is placed under the breast, after that the surgeon prepares a proper "pocket" for implant. The wound is sutured with dissolvable stitches.

How long does convalescence after breast enlargement take?  
Return to regular activities is possible in around a week. Of course patients must avoid excessive effort for around a month. Bruising around breast can be visible for around 1-2 weeks, but regular clithes can be worn the next day after the procedure.


Are scars after breast enlargement visible?
 
Scars after breast enargement ate almost invisible and well hidden in skin folds. The incision is about 4 centimeters long.


What does liposuction procedure look like?
  Most of liposuction procedures in performed in general (twilight sedation) anesthesia. A procedure can tak about 1-2,5 hours, depending hom much fat is there to be removed and how many areas are worked on. Small incisions (about 5 mm) ale placed in skin folds, the scar becomes almost invisible after a few weeks. The fat is removed with a thin cannula.

What does convalescence after liposuction look like?

After liposuction a patient stays at the clinic for one night. After the procedure we put a compression garment or elastic bandages on proper area. It stops the bleading and reduces possibility of bruising and swelling. Garment/bandages should be worn for 3-4 weeks 24/7, after that for around two weeks during nights. Most of the patients return to regular activities in a around w eeek after the surgery.


Who can have liposuction?
  Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure, patients should be healthy and the should not have any chronic diseases, such as diabetis or heart conditions. Liposuction is modelling the body, but it cannot be use to loose many pounds overweight. Another important factor is flexibility of skin. In case of patients with much loose skin tummy tuck, arm lift or thigh lift may be required.
